• 1830s, 9-key Viennese Turkish boxwood flute with ivory rings and brass keys. No maker's mark or serial number. Plays to low B. Tuning slide in headjoint allows it to play from about A=415-440 and the flute has been used professionally at A=440. Tone-holes and embouchure are original, pads are leather, non-lined headjoint (all wood). There is a crack in the headjoint which was repaired not long after it was made (filled with shellac).
