• Louis Lot #7816, made in 1908 (E. Chambille) and restored by David Chu. The flute was originally made at A=440 (as per David Shorey's assessment), exported for a player outside of France, and was stamped again when imported.. This LL has a seamless silver tube (hallmarked), plated mechanism, plated headjoint tube, and silver lipplate (hallmarked). All original and in excellent condition, this is the Lot you want as a modern player—great French sound, if a bit louder than older models, a sound, practically new mechanism, and 440 scale. Tuning slide in headjoint allows it to play from about A=415-440 and the flute has been used professionally at A=440.
